A Relient K Music blog has stated that Matthew Thiessen commented on the song "One I'm Waiting For" (Mmhmm) while performing live at Christian Music Festival in New Jersey in October of 2009. Thiessen said the band hadn't played in "a couple of years" and which he ended with a delightfully offhand comment, "that song's about Katy Perry," without explaining they dated and wrote songs together when she was a Christian artist known as Katy Hudson. I sure hope that isn't true. That sounds awfully shallow.
I can't believe that that song's about Katy Perry... pretty strange to be listening to it all these years and then find out it's about someone we all know!!
