Mousertime interview Matt Thiessen & Matt Hoopes about the new record

Mousertime in association with Variance Magazine have interviewed Relient K's Matt Thiessen and Matt Hoopes asking questions about the upcoming new Relient K album and what they've been up to lately. Matt Thiessen Interview - theweekender.com

Check out this new interview with Relient K's lead singer Matthew Thiessen. He talks about being on Vans Warped Tour, let's slip the title of a new cover song that will appear on the upcoming covers album and shares some much needed details of the bands plan to head back to the studio in November. "The band is hoping to get back into the studio in November to start recording some new songs, including some that are less about real-life and more about telling a fictional story." Matt Thiessen Interview - zoiksonline.com

Matt Thiessen has shared some more details about the upcoming covers album being released in October in this interview. Thiessen says that the album will feature 15 tracks, 7 off the current covers EP and 8 new tracks. Two definite tracks that will appear are "Motorcycle to Drive By" by Third Eye Blind and "Africa" by Toto. Other possible songs are by Nada Surf, Nick Drake and Stone Temple Pilots. Interview with LiveDaily tells Matthew Thiessen collaborating with Katy Perry and Jack's Mannequin

In a recent interview with LiveDaily Matthew Thiessen has said "I used to date Katy Perry back in the day and we're still really good friends. She called me up in December and had me help with one of her new songs. I'm a big fan of Jack's Mannequin and I got to write four and a half songs on the new Jack's Mannequin record. He's recording that right now." Both of those albums look like they're coming out this summer and fall (respectively).
